Street Outlaws tv show
Aside from all the bs the part where the racing and flexing took place was pretty real. I don't participate in organized street racing, I think it's kinda dumb, but I've been around it a bit. 90% **** talking 5% racing 5% excuses why they lost. I found it somewhat entertaining.
Being from right where it was set I found it interesting. Really made me wonder what I was missing.
I thought it was entertaining for the most part. So many shows now a days are staged like storage wars and moonshiners and others. Once the secrets out, they don't last long I don't think.
Heck, the more car shows the better. Came on after a little gas monkey, so that was awesome!

I'm not sure whether I was more entertained or annoyed. The guys on there might have some fast cars, but their mouths are even faster. It's almost laughable that a bunch of guys in OKC claim to have the fastest street raced cars in the country. That's a claim I honestly don't think any city can own. There is ALWAYS someone with a faster car or willing to push their car harder. I'm not condoning illegal street races, but I'll watch the show just to see what kind of dumb crap these idiots get into. It looks pretty set up to me anyway.

When you have a little extra time, read through this thread and you'll get a little better insight on how much drama the network has added to the show. Yes, the street racing goes in that area, and these guys are a part of it, and yes they are some bad *** cars, BUT, a lot of the street racing is sanctioned, even coordinated with the police blocking off abandoned streets for them to race on and they don't mention that in the show. Hell, the first episode last week was showing them lined up, but they had massive Klieg lights (or what ever they call them) that the road crews use when working at night (big trailer pulled generator with massive lights on an an extendable pole. from what I understand, yes, they were doing some serious racing with fast cars on the street. The police just decided to "if you can't beat them, join them" and agreed to help them block off abandoned roads so they could run the dog **** out of their 9 second cars, and if they killed themselves, so be it, at least they wouldn't kill the soccer mom and her 4 kids that happened to be coming down that road. As far as I can tell, some of the guys in the show are posting in this thread. Heck, I recognized some of the cars from vids on the internet (like the Farmtruck and the Murder Nova) so yes, they are real car guys, with super fast cars, but the scene and the law danger has been exaggerated and lied about to make good tv drama.

Lets see. There's a mustang, Camaro, and corvette available. All with over 600hp. No factory roll cage. No race compound tires. No five point harnesses.
Street cars from the factory built against the entry rules of most race tracks. These cars were pretty much intended for street racing. It goes on everywhere and it's a big risk to do it. It's against the law but I don't think Ford and GM really care about that. At least there's air bags. Lol. I'm tired of hearing people cry about how wrong street racing is. We all know that but still do it. Go buy a Camry and look both ways before crossing an illegal drag strip. Geez.

...well said. You race on the street, you face the consequences. There are locations and events specifically set up so you can take your car and run it as fast as you ****ing want to. Get the **** off the street. You have no business putting other people in danger just so you can ruin your transmission.

New season starts tonight. I still love the farm truck. And the dude that drives it seems like a pretty funny guy. Love the dog riding with him too.
