Ok so here's my nerd input on Star Wars. The series should have ended after the original 3. But of course we won't leave greatness alone. The first three were perfect in a great time in our society. The good guys won and everything was great. For years and years everything remained great.
Here comes the next three cash cows. But let's throw in some sensitivity drama and feelings. Inner torment and personal anguish. Sissy stuff for a pansie **** society. Great movies though. Just disappointed with all the sissy aspect to appease to the misunderstood youth of that time.

Now we have the next 3. Chocked full of political correctness for a PC age. The movie was wonderful but the girl hero and the black guy stormtrooper just reassures me of where we are as a society now. Chances are one of them will be gay in the next movie.

The first three were better. Back when times were better. If I am in a Star Wars mood, I'm watching the first three. But I can't wait for the next one. Lol

RE: Nerds...

As a Trekkie as well as a Star Wars Fan... I offer this:

---

I was talking with a guy at my work, and it occurred to me...

Episode 7 is about setting up 8 and 9. Nothing more. It's coolish on it's own... but it had to set up things for the next two. So... I'm thinking that the next one is going to knock the socks off. I hope.

We shall see.

^This. It parallels the OT so much. IV was great on its own, but it does serve to introduce V. There are a lot of open items for VIII to wrap up. I'm not a huge fan of all 3 having different directors, seems like inconsistency might be bad for a long story like this.

The original trilogy had three different directors... and they turned out fine.

The prequel trilogy had one director... and look how that wound up.
