Hi all,

As you know, we occasionally get users posting what are obviously adverts on the site. When you report them, an email is sent out to the Mods that deal with that forum. Sometimes the thread is left in place for a few hours. The reason for this is that we are not online all of the time. The moment I get a reported post, I investigate it as soon as I read my email, and then delete it if neccessary. Please remember, the Mod team are not employees of The Mustang Source, we do this for free and the satisfaction it gives us. So if you report a thread, be assured that it will be looked into, and please do not worry if the thread is not dealt with immediately, we all have lives as well!

I'm always impressed at the speed that they're actually deleted at after myself or someone else reports them.

 

Hi all, it seems that the spammers are back with a vengeance.

As stated above, we remove the spam threads (and ban the poster) as soon as we possibly can. As Lalo said, I missed the latest one by a matter of 50 minutes, but have removed it as soon as I came back online.

There have been about 10 spam threads in the past few days, and they have always been deleted within 24 hours. Comments about "the mods sleeping" are not particularly helpful, and I would ask you to refrain from making them.

If you have any problems, please click on one of our usernames, and hit the "send member an email", or PM us, we'll get right back to you.

Please do not even reply to the threads, people see replies and automatically go into the thread to see what it is about.

 

Jeesh guys, if we're talking about the hoodia thread I was just making a light hearted joke about mods "sleeping". Normally those threads disappear before I even have a chance to open them up, so the thread being there for more than 10 minutes was a little unusual.
