And so the beginning of the end of days starts.

Behold... Man has become the creator:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...DDLETopStories

Now, let's just go with a nice 3 day average for cell division rate, and not include any cells dying, and no known reasonable ways (i.e. non-human, or world, killing to kill it as a byproduct) to kill it.

Day 1: 1
Day 4: 2
Day 7: 4
Day 10: 8
Day 13: 16
Day 16: 32
Day 19: 64
Day 22: 128
Day 25: 256

So in every two weeks, the cells have multiplied by 16x That's simple numbers, and off we go:

1 year:
20,282,409,603,651,670,423,947,251,286,016 cells.

For comparison, a human has up to 70 trillion cells, it's estimated, and that's:
70,000,000,000,000

Quite the low number. Then again, we replace cells that die at about the same rate. There's nothing saying the abomination created of man's technological achievement of doom can die... it may be indestructible, and voracious to boot. I don't know, but it's possible.

So, if you continue on the process this is how many cells will be around at the estimated 2 and a half years it will be from their inception to December 2012:
6.901746346790563787434755862277e+69, or
6,901,746,346,790,563,787,434,755,862,277,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

That's
98,596,376,382,722,339,820,496,512,318,243,000,000 ,000,000,000,000,000,000
humans worth of cells.

For comparison, there are currently about 7,000,000,000 humans, so we're done for. We're talking proper "doom." Forget that oil stuff.

/I was bored.
//but what if I'm right?
///nahhh...

On a side point, your math underlines why I think the pure theory of evolution is ridiculous. The single cell amoeba was as simple as it gets.

What triggered cell division? Random occurrence? Survival of the fittest?

OK, so now you have a multicell amoeba... why move any further? By definition, that was natural selection at its best.

So why the (alleged natural) randomly caused cell division that suddenly/eventually resulted in complex brain, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, voice/language, complex digestion, bone, muscle, intake & filtering, waste purging, penises & vaginas for complex and inefficient (but fun) reproduction, female orgasm, etc. etc. .... from stardust to primordial soup and lightning?

Well... yeah there's the whole amazingness of that, true. Things of this nature typically and quickly get into an absurd amount of "and then, magic happens", and the believability of it all comes into question.

So explain this, then... why do cancers, disease, birth defects, etc., happen?

I'll tell you: Mistakes.

/read into that what you will. I accuse no one of anything.
//this manufactured cell thing might be a mistake, maybe, though...
