One of my co workers was killed in a motorcycle accident last week and today was the funeral. He was wrong and wrecked - just leave it at that.

He was a 12 year Marine veteran and recieved full military honors - the Marines did an outstanding job. During the 21 gun salute it hit me, life is too short. A during taps, I let loose.

He was one year younger than I, married, with two young children and I feel for his family. I never relaized it before but we are very much alike.

Sometimes you don't realize just how important the small things are. Don't let them pass you by.

Sorry for the loss of your friend and for a man who helped to defend our country.

You're right in your post though. Sometimes things just hit you hard, but in the sadness you really learn how important it is to be happy and enjoy life.
