Runners health thread
Recently lost 30lbs over the course of 12 weeks with a combination of running, boxing club, and strength training with diet (no fancy diets just eating healthy and putting in hard work). Feeling great! Unfortunately, during a run a few weeks ago I felt a bad pain on the outside of my left knee and in my left glute. Let it rest for a week and tried again but it came back. Went to the doctor and they said it was IT band syndrome.
Started physical therapy last week. Since then it appears to have gotten worse. Pain isn't in my knee anymore. Now it's almost directly on the outside of my left hip! This is discouraging cause it's preventing me from doing pretty much all cardio. I still do strength training, though.
Any other runners/active people have advice?
