Estimating the Airspeed Velocity of an Unladen Swallow

I thought I had lost 10 minutes of my life to this thread until you posted that!!! That made this thread worthwhile!

Man, you're just wonderful with the name calling, aren't you? Definitely shows the strength of your statements.
Well, as they say, the empty can rattles the most.
Keep rattling.

How is that for statement strength?

You're a regular ray of sunshine, aren't ya? TMS members can edit a post without it registering? Interesting. That statement is about as weak as the remainder of your ramblings. The fact that you went back to add that line shows how strongly I hit that nerve.
If Brad wants to charge everyone for access to the forums, he's going to have some very empty forums - and I don't think he'd call those who haven't joined TMS, "freeloaders".
Freeloading implies conning something that you should be paying for. The boards are free, the extra media and advanced news costs. Fair enough. The presence of non-TMS members on the site affects what he can charge advertisers and partners for a presence. More members, even more non-paying members, means more revenue. It's how many websites work, including most major ones. It's an excellent approach to revenue generation. You'll note in his letter to advertisers, he states his audience is large and growing. There's a reason he mentions that.
Regarding my contribution to the site in other forms, check my past posts and the people I've helped. Note I've also offered my programming skills in improving one aspect of the board.
I'm attempting to ascertain what you've contributed apart from the TMS fee and a large amount of inane commentary. I'm certain there must be something I missed.
But you seem to think because you've paid to get into the community pool you can **** in it all you want.
That's a nice opinion to have, but you know what they say about opinions.
I could have sworn I opened and tried to read a civilized political thread. Now please let this back and forth die (take it to PM's if you will) and get back on topic or its getting closed.

Shea,
In light of Doris' comment I added "independent" to the poll, hope you don't mind

Since I started the thread, I thought that perhaps I would have control of the poll options.
Anyway, I just wondered how many people on TMS leaned towards either major party. I am not interested in getting into political discussions, as they are rarely fruitful. The poll shows that most TMS members who voted are Republicans, and that answers my question. Feel free to close the thread, if you see fit.
BTW, I had a great weekend of snowmobiling in northern Michigan, and that is why I have not posted to this thread recently. Rock on, rebubs, and demos...
