It's all a lie. He was caught in Islamorada on mile marker 74.5 with a banana daiquiri on one hand and the Wall Street Journal on the other.
I saw it with my own eyes.

I wouldn't doubt it. It's like the Jessica Lynch incident. She's in a hospital with one of only three nurses taking care of her. They tell the Americans that they'll drop her off to them in an ambulance. We open fire on the ambulance, they turn around and the next day we go storming into the hospital with guns blazing (according to several witnesses they were blanks) grab her and run out. I'm just imagining what all the doctors were thinking watching this. Kind of like in that scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail where Lancelot goes running into the castle and starts killing things and the guard at the gate just kind of turns and says "Hey?!" Then this is portrayed as some daring rescue of a fellow soldier when there were NOT any enemies in the hospital. AND the doctors told us she was there.

Who knows. Pentagon denies that story:

Who really cares? He's captured, and now will face justice for his atrocities. End of story.
