I would tell you not to bother with Need for Speed Carbon, it was a big disappointment.....NFS Most Wanted is FAR better.

 

is anyone else noticing that stores have dozens of PS3's just sitting there? My Best Buy has at least 30 in a display, and can't sell em. The Wii's are nonexistent though.

You can play backwards but not on Jap version i think. I've played my games and they work.

 

Yeah but its not all games.. and i'm guessing a lot of the ones that weren't playable right away, are fixed in the plethora of OS updates

 

I also agree with this statement, while the game overall is a let down after Most Wanted. The newer cars in Carbon are pretty cool. The fact that EA finally put some muscle cars in Need for Speed was nice. But other than that the game is about 1/10th the game that Most Wanted was. At least PS3 and 360 have all the content included. I own an original Xbox and EA ripped the vbox owners off big time.

 

I tried a relative's PS3. Not liking its size, weight, and especially the amount of heat it puts out. (LOL! Don't need a heater during our "winter"!) Waiting to find out if the heat is/becomes a big problem. IMO, it also looks cheesy compared to the PS2 - I hate the power/disc eject "buttons" on the PS3! Feels like they'll break too easily. I think it's not something worth getting right away.

I know that turned me off, big time, when the leap in graphics and gameplay isn't that great from the 360....

A friend of ours bought one Christmas eve. His wife said NO NO NO take it back. So he didn't get to enjoy it. He offered it to us for cost, but we turned it down-we have too much entertainment.

I don't see the hype.

 

I'm going to get one of these, but will give it probably 6 months. I may do it in the summer when video game hype is at its low for the year. There will undoubtedly be nice sales going on for any reason imaginable.

 

Theres like three PS3's sitting on a shelf at my local Walmart ....and no Wii's....

 

Walked by the Best Buy in Lynchburg this week and they had signs posted that they had PS3's for sale.

 

I just wanted to buy a Nunchuk for my Wii, and they wouldn't sell me one unless I bought a PS3
