Well guys, we spend a week in SF and it was a blast, one of our best vacations ever. Thank you all for your suggestions, many which we followed and visited. We loved north SF. Great architecture, dining, and tourists' sites. Public transportation was very good as well. 
As for the parking rates,
I expect some refunds which should be tax deductible for you guys.
