Is it just me or does it seem they've went out of their way to pick a LOT of people that seem to be, how would you say, ummm, people that appear to be of the alternative lifestyle group?

Last year's show was (I thought) lame to put it mildly, and I quit watching before the end because I thought they had eliminated the best real talent pretty early.
But when they announced Nicki Minaj was to be a judge I gave up on the show completely.
How they can call someone with just about literally ZERO actual singing ability an expert and worthy of judging talented singers is just beyond me.

And ... is that Kevin Sorbo?

 

I really wanted to watch American Idol this year but after watching one or two auditions and listening to Nicki Minaj speak I wanted to shoot myself so guess I wont be watching it this year either

 

Last year did suck. I didn't even see the last episode before the results because it was so disappointing.

I can't stand Nicki Minaj either, but I wil say she's at least entertaining personality wise and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind (like Simon did).

 

Speaks her mind but.........in an annoying voice or fake accent and with no real meaning behind what she says.

Complete waste of space on the panel.

 

Although, she is really much like Shakespeare in her writing.

Maybe she could give one of her multiple personalities to Mariah Carey. She's so beyond boring it isn't funny.

Her music is beyond stupid...not much worse than 95% of what's on top 40 radio nowadays though.

I can't stand to listen to Nicki speak either. I'm not a fan of the panel this season and I hope it's only for this one.

The Grammys were pretty good last night.
Bruno Mars, Sting and Ziggy Marley (and others) doing a Bob Marley tribute song. Pretty excellent.

Hey, when does The Voice start back up? That is some truly entertaining music reality stuff there.

 

I thought the Grammys sucked pretty bad.

The Voice starts back up March 25. Have yet to be able to get into that show. Just something about it.

 

Both of those country girls are really good. Janelle and Rachel I think.
