Fender Jazz Bass. I love it. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif[/img]

It was only $800 for the bass, a 25-watt Fender Rumble bass amp, a strap (which is already coming apart), an extended warranty, polishing cloths, a Monster cord, a Korg tuner, a stand, and a ton of Fender picks, which I don't use. I got it about two weeks ago, and I'll be playing "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind, & Fire at a school choral performance. [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrinjester.gif[/img]

I chickened out on buying a bass- spent my bass money on a high dollar cat instead.

And I have like 8 guitars upstairs I can't be bothered to learn a chord on..

In any case- that guitar is frickin beautyful. I wanted a mint green one. Didn't want it to collect dust after I got bored with it.

I then as if I were married would think what would she likely tell me ? well just take a picture of it and keep a scap book of it all, then if you really think you need it buy it. btw my 10 yr old now would like an electric guitar , its ok at my house but Not where mommy lives. what to look for ? idea's appreciated.

My husband is STILL wanting me to get a bass. I still would like to have one-
NOW a white Fender like Flea's.

 

My dad made the necks on J-basses for several years, back in the 90s. It didn't pay well, but it was fun and can be considered a public service.

He smooth out the neck itself, shaped the headstock, stamped in frets and those little pearly dots between the frets...

 

Nice-lookin bass, too. And not a bad deal at all. Hope ya like it.

Holy crap- I bought one.

I was out and about and we went into the local guitar hole(guitar gallery)
I picked a black one up, Brian said- its upside down...
I look closer- Its LEFT HANDED Holy Crap. Meant for me. Price was right, it came home.

Its a Rogue . MEH. The promise is If I learn well on it, I get a Fender Mustang bass.

Holy Snot basses are easy to play.

I screwed with it for HOURS yesterday and I have 3 songs DOWN already. My fingers are killing me.



Coolest thing ever.

Plus its a leftie~ Even cooler. Even though I had learned to correctly hold guitars correctly, I still found a leftie. Meant to be mine.

 

I discovered quite by accident when playing tequila sunrise with Brian The eagles ripped off otis Redding.
The bass line is the SAME as Dock of the bay,only played slower.

Dock of the bay(just the beginning)
I am working on Money.

I tried out Detroit rock City, but my poor little fingers are a LOT slower than Gene simmons are so I can't make it sound the same.

I took a peek at Dani California, I think I would have to sell my soul to the debbil to make it sing like Flea does..
