My car has about 700 miles on it and the dash has been rattling since new. I hadn't even bothered to check and see where it was coming from since I was just enjoying the car for awhile until my first oil change was due. So I go into the glove compartment today to grab the paperwork for my tags....I left a big box of "Good-N-Plenty" in there from the day I picked the car up! ( I'm a Good-N-Plenty junkie: I always have it when negotiating, playing poker, and working on tough projects) Rattle problem solved what a classic...and I am a professional mechanic Though ya'll would get a kick out of that

So now the 'Rattle' is coming from your stomach instead of the dash????

hahahahahaha. I was getting annoyed with a clunking noise I kept hearing in the back of the trunk so I finally popped the trunk and forgot that my wife had put an empty 5 gallon water jug in the back.

haha, i actually had rattling in my dash and brought it to the dealership. They re-screwed the entire dash and now it is perfect! It seemed like the airbag was not folded in all the way or something. But all the squeaks are gone now

This just goes to show that some of the problems are indeed minor.

That's too funny! I bet you are glad you found it before you took it in for service. The service tech's woulda had a good laugh about that one.

Well I just fixed my Wife's car, She had it in for a service and when it came back she said it does't shift that smooth, its clunky going in to the gears..

So I gets in it, went to put it in gear, started laughing and got out and said "Try that"
I hopped back into the passenger seat, She gets in and drives away. Wow, what a difference, what did you do?

So I told her that the floormat was wedged under the clutch pedal
