So I got an email from my credit union today. They say their 2007 profit exceeds their current capitol needs. Apparently this extra profit belongs to the members. So, on Jan 1st I will have 5% of my checking/savings dividends earned and 5% of the interest I paid on my car and house loans for 2007 deposited to my account!! Man, that could add up to some bucks!! When does this ever happen? Never!!

I am part of a credit union but they don't love me as much.

 

As the former Director of Technology for a local Credit Union I can highly agree with Lynda!! In the 7+ years I worked for the Credit Union I was highly impressed with how they treated their members...

Last year my former employees returned 10 Million dollars in dividends to their members! That rocked!!!! Hopefully they'll do similar this year...

 

I belong to one once they cot caught screwing us over so they were ordered to pay us all back, then I paked in the evening went the the atm My Branch and then ran across the street & find they towed my truck away the BSIStards the back backed the idiots that towed it cost me like 85.00 I send an email to them every Christmas to remind them also took every buck I had in there or invested out ! Not saying it's all but in this case this branch lost big time.

 

I love my credit union. Every vehicle we have financed through them had rates lower than 5%. And they have never said no to us. Whatever we have wanted they have helped us get.
