You've seen the stuff. Some kind of Martha Stewart foo-foo crap.
My cousin got fancy one year and was trying to be all domestic. I had to run up to the corner market and get the jellied stuff.

Is that the gritty stuff with like stems in it and chopped nuts on top? That stuff is horrifying.

I remember how disappointed I was the first time my grandma brought that homemade cranberry "sauce" to Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think I've ever come so close to punching an old lady in the face as I did that day.

Although the time I mistook her cooked beets for cinnamon apples is a real close second.

My grandma used to always bring the lime Jello mold with chunks of God knows what in it.

I mean we're not talking pineapple chunks or anything like that. I mean like jolly ranchers or pecans or whatever she could find laying around the house.

I miss the funny Chevy Chase. Wow that whole talk show thing really screwed him up.

I've watched it. He's kind of a joke now. It's sad. It almost hurts me to watch.

Come on Thursday!
Yes it is a cornbread based dressing. Sweet Yellow Cornbread, sage, a few other interesting spices, eggs, secret mix of liquids, heat, time, and the most important ingredient, love. I love makin' it, I only do it twice a year, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I'm **** good at it. So good, I have to make two sets because my brother and his brother in law demand I do it or they'll hunt me down, so they get 1/2 a tray for later.

Which is good, because I like it when people like what I make.

/The Taco Dip is gonna soooo rawk too. THAT is kickin' everyone else's dishes in the behind parts... including my dressin'... which I have a hard time believing, honestly, it's just too simple.
