grass cutting........ car wash...... pool boy.... all sorts of small summer jobs that can be had

Call local landscaping companies. They usually need summer help. Expect to work hard and to put some muscle on.

I dunno if theres any oil rig work around there, but if there is then there is money to be had. You can make a couple grand a week on the rigs to start. Tough work and long hours though.
