A friend and I went the the Detroit Autorama custom auto show today. After wandering around there for 4 some odd hours, I noticed alot of people were waiting in super long lines to meet celebrities. These "so called" celebrities consisted of the actor who played Cooter on the Dukes of Hazzard (TV show, not the movie) and a couple of WWE wrestlers. We were just getting ready to leave, fighting our way through the very crowded hallways and all of a sudden I look over and there is Chip Foose, just walking around. There was no mention of him being there or anything. He was chatting with everyone and had a Sharpie in hand. He looked over my way and I shook his hand and introduced myself. With it being such a spur of the moment event, I had no idea what to have him sign, so I handed him my cell phone....LOL! My friend and another guy after that did the same thing.

Anyway, he signed it and continued on with the next person. He was even better with the smaller children who came up to him. All I can say is that he was one heck of a nice guy and I felt quite honored to meet him. He is every bit as friendly in real life as he is on Overhaulin'. *two thumbs up to the Fooseman*

Man I am soo jealouse!!
But yeah everyone I know that has met him has nothing be great things to say about him. Truely a great guy!

Hah, thats funny, my cousin was there put this picture up on our family web site. Maybe you seen him there, lol.

Just noticed date on pic, either the camara was wrong, or chip was there 2 days in the same shirt!

Its really nice to know that the man is sincere as he appears on tv and its just not an "act" . BTW - Anyone know if American Hot Rod and Boyd are still around?.
