I HATE ricers too. this site makes me feel good, and relieves tension. http://www.musclecarcalendar.com/toppage1.htm
can't wait to get an 05 GT and humiliate stupid slow cocky ricers and their 120 hp 4 bangers. Their mission in life is to get humiliated by us.

Right on. Scions make baby jesus cry. Nobody I know would ever be seen dead in one of those de-glorified toyotas (if that's possible.). The car is hideous, the commericals are annoying... hopefully they'll fold in a year or two and that'll be it for em.

Teenagers DON'T like Scions or Elements. Honda thought the average Element owner would be a 22-year old male, but the actual average buyer is a 42-year old female. I've only seen one person under 25 driving either vehicle. Most owners are 40-60.

Kind of off topic... but did anyone notice the Scion commercial that has the cybernetic/robotic thing, that all the hoses pop out of while it’s suspended in some fluid, shares MANY similarities with The Matrix and Transformers? It just bothered me…

Yeah I went to one of the local dealerships...the first car he showed me was the Scion xB (Van/box). I said, "Sorry, I'm looking for something a little more manly I then proceed to the stash of Mustang GT's... B)
BTW: Scion now has a coupe kinda thing, not the hatchback, but it's the "sportiest" of the three. Has 200HP and doesn't look half bad...sorry, you can whip me if you want to...

actually the new scion tC is a pretty nice looking car for an import. I posted some info about it a while ago in the 05 forum when they were discussing competition for the v6 mustang. i was actually drawn to it, kinda. its available turbocharged from the factory with 160 hp. torque is close, i believe. the turbocharger will probably make it faster than the 160 HP leads us to believe. anyway, its hitting lots this june, so people who are considering a mustang might go the way of the tC because its available sooner. plus, isnt it more fun to drive a sprots car in the summer? oh, it also starts at the same price as the stang, if not a bit lower. still only a v4 though.
dont take this as me loving the tC, i do like it, but i still prefer a beefier engine. i'll be buying a '00 GT next week

Japanese cars suck at crashes. My mom have 1994 Toyota Camry V6 and she was in the accident yesterday. Some old lady went through red light with van and smashed into her. The damage on Camry is so bad that maybe Toyota Servis won't be able to fix it.

IMHO, The Element isn't half bad at what it does. Yes, its kinda uglu, but its ugly in the sort a way that they meant it to be. It rides well, and its kinda cool you can just spray the inside out and wipe down the seats.
I'd take one as a second car to drive on days I wouldn't want to get the Mach out.

I never got into imports in my life. I'd like a V6 mustang if I was short on cash though. If I was a bit richer i'd get a 69 mach 1 which is currently being sold at the Mustang Shop/Bates Auto Upholstery. Its a short walk away.

I used to like imports when I first got my license. When my parents promised me a car for my 17th birthday back in 2001, I really wanted '92-'95 Honda Civic. My parents bought me 2000 Mustang V6 instead.
I still like a lot of European cars cause I am from Europe, but Americans cars (especially Ford) are my favorite.

You have to understand also, its a lot cheaper for kids to get into the ricer craze and get a "ricer car" than it is to buy a Mustang (also insurance, gas etc).
So, for many if you want to be cool you grab a civic, do a few mods and you have what you think is a pimping ride. Not my style at all but I see why they are so popular.

(Don't take this the wrong way..) But thinking realisticly is the reason the Tc caught my eye, the styling isn't that bad and it makes ok horsepower for a 4 banger (of course the aftermarket will be all over it so that can be fixed...) With the rising gas prices and killer insurance for anyone with a little power, a slower car makes sense, and you can still have a little fun in it.
But if I had the money...bigger engine all the way.
