Thumbs up

I know this isn't the place for this, but I couldn't resist! I couldn't seem to find the original thread that was locked regarding the carbon fiber driveshaft that I purchased.
I was wondering... if that fella was done with "running supplies" to New Orleans. If so, is he coming down to S. Florida to help out after this Cat 3 hurricane blows thru? The fella I'm referring too is the one that thought I had my priorities out of place for purchasing that driveshaft when there were more important issues in N.O. I'm sure this thread will get removed before he gets back from N.O...if he's still there.

Dave it's good to see you can laugh with Wilma headed your way. I feel for you man I'm working from home today due to the storm. Been raining here since last night at a medium pace. Can't really tell any wind though since it's still dark out now. Stay safe!

Reporting in....a bunch of pine trees snapped in half like toothpicks-roughly 14" in diameter. I have a flat roof over a carport and lost half of the roofing there. Other than that, just a butt load of branches and debris in the yard. No damage to the house. I took a bit of video that I'll upload later all for those that wonder what pine trees look like in 100+ mph winds. I caught a good gust that snapped a pine that came crashing down on a little shed in the back yard. Mother Nature has some serious power and is amazing. We faired well considering what I see around the neighborhood!

Dude I thought you were dead, haven't heard from you. I have a canoe that I will trade you for your short block. Working on the helicopter tonight so give me a call if you are bored, as long as your wife is OK with it first. J/K.

Derek, my cell isn't working yet, unless you have nextel 2 way. The home phones just came back on....for who knows how long. The house phone never cut off thru the hurricane, but did shut down afterwards. Someone said the phone company was on generators that they had to shut down. Anyways, they work now. Just spending some quality family time out in the yard today. We had about 12 pines break or fall, so I've manned a chainsaw all day while my wife and boy picked up sticks and such.
