How would you write something differently?

I want ???????? tattoo'd, but don't want it as normal script. Was trying to cast about for ideas of how you guys would design this (especially ang guys of Greek descent!)

Any ideas on how, while keeping it readable in its original language?

Cheers

J

Just wondering why you would want this tattoo'd on you? In my honest opinion, most people don't think out tattoo ideas very well. Then again, most people with tattoos have made more than one decision they later regret.

And many of us think them out VERY well.

Most of the script work that I have done I translated into Latin and had put on in an old english style script.

Yeah, I agree, kinda sad there, Al.

I enjoy other's tattoos. Some of the artwork is incredible, and usually, the stories behind them are cool, even if it's just "for my Mom", and then on up to "I survived this really bad time, and dammit, I had to show something for it."

I don't have one, but I wouldn't hesitate to get one from a decent artist for the right life reason either. Just... that opportunity hasn't presented itself, I suppose.

I would look into various made up fonts for movies, muzzy, or maybe abstract it in a way where the name is part of the scene, like houses or huts or vines or such. Like a Google Doodle sorta kinda thing.

Then again, if that avatar has any weight to ya...

Cheers, the avatar is already done! Jack is the moon in a scene that takes up my left shoulder and top of arm.

The problem I have with the scripting is that I am definately no artist!

Call it stereotype if you will. Sons name I say cool. Didn't bring that to the table first hand. I'm good friends with a few tattoo artists and have lots of friends with some nice ink. That being said, I still stick with my stereotypical views. I've spent lots of time in tattoo studios and have observed the usual clientele. 90% of them are clueless dumbasses. Getting tattoos of the dumbest crap they think is cool and unique. Then hearing the artists laugh their *** off about the crap people want. I can appreciate good pieces as an art form. I judge it from both sides of the field. A person evolves as they go through life. The douchebag that plasters himself with ignorance at 18yrs old is gonna have kids and possibly a career one day with the permanent reminder of once being a retard. Don't take offense to any of this, it's y'all's life not mine. Lord knows I've made a lot bigger mistakes in my life that I regret than getting tattoos.

Interesting. My tattooist will not ink the stupid crap, he tells people that want it to go elsewhere. He also has a 2 month wait list.

Type it into Word or any other program that supports formatted text and then just scroll through the fonts. Thats what I do for most of my graphic work. Current tats:

I was talking more of Jack being an inspiration, something in the movie, it's font, that sorta thing. Not Jack himself, although you indeed have that covered!
