From what I heard only minor injuries to a couple of the engineers. Other than that just cars that got hurt.

Of course I would think we are concerned about anyone that may have been hurt but around here (KC area) we knew with in the first hour that there was no major injury or deaths. So that being said the next step is what kind of damage has happened to the train and what ever was on it. For me the frist thought after knowing there was no deaths was how long it would take to clean up and get the train line going. We bring in raw material for my job on trains.

ummm...everyone is concered about what cars were on that train, well what about the people?? Even if it were a freight train w/o passengers there had to be drivers...what about them??? huh
You're right...

I hope none of the engineers on the train had a Mustang on order. Would be a shame to before you had a chance to ride your pony.

It would be a major disappointment. To have to wait three more months or longer. I think I would give in and buy off the lot. Not having a car for the last 3 months has been a nightmare!!!

Kat, you've got to be getting close if you ordered in Nov. Have you heard any updates?

Last we heard the dealership said it was due to arrive on the 5th. Didn't hear anything on the 5th. But they say any day now. I'll believe it when I see it.

Our internet access is screwing up so all day the 5th I couldn't do anything but clean the house..YUK!!! I was starting to have TMS withdrawal!! Still having a few problems but at least I'm on for now.

The husband is tired of hearing "I WANT MY CAR".

Interesting video. I would think those firemen feel rather helpless...

Even if they uncouple the last car that is not burning, without a locomotive to supply air pressure to release the brakes, there is nothing you can do but roast some weenies...

Just saw the news this morning - there was another derailment in Ohio.

18 auto rack cars off the track - some on their side and piled up. The ends of some of the auto racks were torn open and you could see the new cars inside. Looked like Pontiacs.

Tough luck - at least there was no fire...

Can you imagine the insurance claim on that one?
