The odometer, on the beetle I used to have, stopped working after two full turns and 27K Kms. I still had the car for about 3 1/2 years after the odometer had stopped working. My dad drove the heck out that beetle, driving it all over Mexico. The car was on its last legs until a suburban, that did not see the red light, rear ended it, crushing the egine.
