I have just returned from the Guitar center grand opening.
We got there at 6:30 and waited in line for an hour and 45 minutes. JILLIONS of people there.
We got in, and jebus it was loud.

So I went to the guitar center grand opening and all we got was a Tshirt.

NO Kirk Hammett signature in there

Yea, I don't get the bass.

Apparently we are in need of a Fender Telecaster and a BC Rich Warlock.
Brian is going to pick up a Yamaha acoustic guitar today to sling around with him. The dean is a little pricey to throw in back of the car. The Yamaha is only $89. I picked up a left handed strat last night and tried it out, I prefer playing right handed. I never thought I could manage it, but playing the "proper" way is simpler for me even though I am a leftie.

Guitar center has a "vault" where they keep the good stuff. I smiled a little when I saw an EC signature in there. That guitar I dreamed about for a solid week, and had to get the guys in Bailey Bros to tell my hubby how much I adored it. He bought it, I love it.

I am thinking on a standard strat in Hospital green.

I went back to Guitar Center last night.
Fell in love with two guitars.
A cherry red american strat..
and a Fender anniversary strat.

Both too pricey after paying three fortunes for Blackie.

So we bought a sack of drumsticks.

Also test drove a warlock, a telecaster, a squier skull (sounded like crap) and drooled over the stuff in their vault(where they keep the good stuff like the EC signature)

Real music???

I picked it up and started playing. The best ways is to find some songs you like and play. Tab is fine. When you get used to the finger movements and the strings then go take a couple of lessons. If you want to be able to go hang out with friends and just jam, you will probably need to learn some blues riffs. It's all easy once you get used to the sound of the instrument. Just keep playing bro, don't give it up. Music is an easy way to express yourself.

Well..
Hubby started out with Dueling banjos by tab and six months later now can play pretty much anything. He takes a 30 minute lesson per week.

Love to hear him play.

family genetics have given me a rotten musical ear, so im learnin to play guitar at a slow pace, im getting better playing by ear though. I am a lefty, but i have a righty LTD m50(which i hate, the volume **** keeps falling off no matter what i do and its just not a great guitar for what i want to play), i cant wait to learn more and my parents help me to buy a fender or something! maybe even a lefty...
