Oh Crap- I have hives and I love it at the same time....

TODAY~ I bought Excalibur..................A Eric Clapton Blackie Fender Stratocaster WITH whammy bar~

OH MY GOD this guitar is incredible!

DOUBLE CRAP! Brian took it and the dime to show his friend and drop off the dime to be played tonight....I wanted to play with it.

Came with the COOLEST tweed case! Its frigging beautyful!

Actually, I have been screwing around with it and it seems pretty easy to hold "correctly". Maybe I will learn to play it, I am obsessed with it.
That Clapton fender, I tell you. I obsessed over it for a WEEK! Sat on the fender site forever playing, we went to Bailey Brothers music http://www.baileybrothers.com/ and it was STILL there. B. was looking for a candy apple american strat, but I begged and begged and begged and he finally took it home with us. The inside of the very cool case is crushed velvet.

Last night! The Dime made its stage debut. Brian's friend plays guitar in a band and we went to see them. He used it, and the sound on it up there was incredible. The dime is a collectors item now that has shot up sky high since Dimebag Darrell got murdered, and people were up at the stage trying to maul on it. Asking about it and where it came from- and WE took it home

The Dime has a VERY metal sound to it, whereas the Fender is very mellow and clean. The fender you can sit and strum all day, the dime sounds like a heavy metal concert.

My next one will be a fender tie dye. No crap, sorry, next one is a dean acoustic. Dean Tradition blueburst: http://www.deanguitars.com/tradition.htm

I am learning the proper way. B. Is teaching me. It ain't easy. I have E and A down.

Been playing with our throwaway acoustic all afternoon, Can't feel my fingers...

I JUST WANNA PLAY MY FENDER! PROPERLY!

And go into Bailey Bros guitar room and play all the ones I can't afford!

I have to keep the clapton hidden from the kids and my parents......Its no fun dragging it out at night only. For the meanwhile only. You can NOT strike a sour note on it.

I tried the dime yesterday, its louder and sharper. Can play it unplugged and still sounds okay.

Electric easier to learn on than acoustic, because the frigging acoustic strings are SO hard.Found a Dean Acoustic on sale, its soooo cool. I still can't feel my fingers, thought this was easier. If B. Can pick it up and play the crap out of it, I don't wanna be left out.

OH! And they are opening a guitar center up here near the mall! I am SO getting a job there.

As for my saxaphones: I still have the tenor, and the alto went back whence it came.

Guitar Center stinks! Don't ever buy anything from that crappy store. They rip people off. The only thing they are good for is to actually try the instruments, after you have done that buy somewhere else.

Never been in one, because we have never had one before. I think it would be cool to work there because it would be FUN to play with geetars all day.

I buy from Alans Music(acoustic ) The guitar gallery(because I got the dime for a steal) and Bailey Brothers Music(fender dealer). Take lessons from Lorna Music..All of em are local places- BUT Bailey Bros looks like the music store from Wayne's world

Want to sell the Tenor sax? I'd love to have one to go with my alto.

btw I have a '71 fender strat, floyd rose whammy, black with black pick guard /w white trim around guard. Also a 62 gibson 325 semi hollow

those are played thorugh a mesa boogie studio series 125w 12" tube amp. Great great blues sounding amp. Its all my dad's but i've inheritied it pretty much. I cant play 6-string, but can play bass (sold all my equipment). I am going to start learning 6 soon though, too good of equipment to let go to waste since dad quit playing.

Go to Lorna Music- the instructor there is spectacular. $68 a month on your schedule.

I wanna Les Paul Guitar and a lime green BC rich, and Frankenstein(ala eddie van halen) and a Kurt Hammett Signature guitar. FIVE more hours till Guitar Center opens!! and a Fender sunburst strat. I have a whole downstairs office I can hang em!

Oddly, the washburn Dimebolt has floyd rose pickups on it. I like we picked it up for a little of nothing(ha ha silly guitar gallery!) and its priceless now.

That Dimebolt is priceless. Its a dimebag Darrel Dime 333 signature, not a tribute.

Its a metal guitar. Doesn't sound good mellow

The Blackie is mellow.
