My friend just got this finally and it is fantastic. The 71 Mach 1 is such a fun car

i have to say though, the best drive ive had so far is in our 512BB. we painted ours gold

i'll need to do some photo mode though, there are some ridiculous cars in this game. and theyve finally got sliding right! mmmmm

 

i'm a bit discouraged to keep playing.
i LOVE the game, but the rewards are meager compared with past gran turismos, so buying the awesome $20million cars (heck anything over $10mil) is a total chore to buy. you have to race the same race over and over and over again, to gain some money.
so, when they allowed saving to usb/memcards, it made it possible to gain that money and buy those expensive cars and duplicate it without having to dump all that cash on just one car.
they stopped that with the latest update
i am not up for grinding the same **** race 200+ times to get one $20mil car and then do it another 200+ times and then again and again.

 

anybody else looking forward to dirt 3

 

finally got a hold of this. taking the time to get licenses - ugh, gets frustrating. at least the karts are a blast. even tried it on Laguna Seca for the heck of it.

 

it is a bit more tiresom at these higher levels since it takes so long to raise cash, but i'm noticing its making all of the races closer that way. we no longer just have a better car. actually right now lol we're pretty much stuckk in inferior ones.

anyone beaten the damned top gear one with the buses yet? those special events are the really tough parts

 

when you hit level 30 you'll really feel what tough is in the special events!

 

the license tests got me puzzled - some seem easy, can nail a string of 5 or 6 gold in a relatively short time, and then spend a inordinate amount of time on 1 or 2 tests trying to get that last tenth of a second for gold. also hate how if the AI driven cars bump you, it means automatic DQ on some of the tests. that just isn't right. i swear, they're no better than moving obstacles.

y'know since getting GT5, I've probably played it maybe 3 times. The more visceral NFS:Shift just yanked me right in and hasn't let me go yet. I really wish GT5 could combine all of that with its super driving dynamics.

 

Honestly i cant wait for forza 4 to come out. Though nfs shift 1&2 still have me in their grasp. Like a couple 6 piston brembos clamping on some carbon ceramic disks on the nürburgring

 

yeah i do like NFS Shift better in some aspects. sometimes i look at GT5 as just a HD GT4.
