I got it on release day and have finished less than 20% of the game thus far. I do try and play whenever I get a chance, and its usually online. If anyone wants to friend me, my screen name(well, my boyfriend's since I use his account) is JonnyRingo16.

I dont have a ps3, just played it at some friends houses

the licensing tests can be a major PITA! we tried getting gold on one for like an hour and were coming up over a second off.

I care far too much for my sanity to try and go for gold, or even silver often enough in the license tests.

I think you have to get all golds for your completion percentage for go up...but yeah.. licensing is always tough if you arent happy with bronze.

From the looks of those pictures, GT5 has a much better photo-realistic feel to the photo mode. I was a big fan of the GT series when they first came out, and played each 1-4 to 100%. I just couldn't wait the long time between GT4 & GT5 for my next racing game. I have since owned and finished Forza 2 & 3, and really love the driving dynamics. I have tried GT5 a couple times at both the store and at a friends, and it just doesn't feel like that much of an improvement from what GT4 was with over 5 years of development time between the releases. I still play F3 a lot online with friends and we have a lot of fun with it.

Here are some comparisons for the photo mode from Forza:
(from our self-created Spec Mustang Series)

i noticed the crash physics on GT5 can be waaay off as well. Like I got spun at Daytona, and did a 360x8, which isn't really gonna happen. In hindsight, maybe it's just at daytona though

That's one of my main gripes with the GT franchise - it's like the AI cars can give you a good nudge off your line, but if you try it on them, it seems to hurt you more than them.

As for that other picture with the 'Vette, I thought only M-B had a lock on race day airshows.

on the next race after my blast off, i barrel rolled about 20 times continuously... no joke. i didn't save the replay on that one though, my mind slipped and started the race over again right away.
the problem was that i had sport tires instead of racing tires. it took me a couple of big accidents to help me realize.
i did save the replay of my take off. i'll try to upload it today.

Took the plunge and bought a PS3 - will get this game and fire up the system after I settle into my new place. Better buy a extra controller too, sense much frustration with licensing test in the near future.

I think perhaps the biggest improvement Polyphony could do with a patch would be to improve the sound of the cars. Right now NSF:Shift gets my vote over GT5 simply due to the sound alone (and well the vehicle damage is better thought out).

new bonus races are up!!!
easy money and exp points to be had by all!
better tires and simple hp mods will easily do the trick on all races.
