I have 107 cars (half of those I won) and so far I have completed 72%. And no, I didn't transfer any credits from GT3. I'm waiting for Spring Break to start 24 hours race.

No, I don't mean 1,000 miles race in European Events. I do mean 24-hours race at Endurance Events.
Did you pass 1,000 miles race in European Events? What car did you use? I started with Shelby Cobra, but I haven't completed it. That race is too long, just 1st race takes over 2 hours to complete.
Did anyone passed driving missions? I passed first 10, but the rest is too hard.

The 1000 miles race is an easy one (in B-spec)
I just had to try the B-spec mode after 20% completion in A-spec
I used the Chevrolet Chevelle with a supercharger and a brake controller, just turn on mediun pace, overtake, speed 3x, and go watch a movie or something haha. When you hear the car pitting in, press x, after pitting press R1 then L1 and 3 times -> (so you don't have to miss parts of the movie. With the Chevy it's easy, i left the Fiat 500 18 laps behind me on Cote d'azur
(Note: i promise i only use B-spec once or twice, i'm not that lazy lol)
Rien..

For driving missions I did up to 10 as well. I guess I won't be seeing Jay leno's Tank car anytime soon.
I've used B-spec a few times to see what it was, but I love racing on my own anyways.
Haven't been too much in this game, so I only have 24% done.

Got GT 4 last weekend. First thing I bought after I transfered my GT3 data was a 05 Mustang GT (Sonic Blue). Got the 260K for selling the Toyota race car and stocked on 60's mucle cars.
That' my favorite part of the game, racing in a 60's muscle car against other muscle cars.
If you start with just 10K, the best car to get is the 92 Mitsubishi EVO in the used car show room I. Once you get 32K, go to the tuning shop and buy theHPA R32. That car will give you a lot of bang for the buck.
Something I find fun, is to take the muscle cars, before you mod them, to the Las Vegas strip for some 1/4 mile runs (ok 400M runs). Its fun to see which muscle car is the fastest. Of the 7 I currently have the 71 Charger is the fastest (I think its 13.1 seconds)

About 80% done. Anyone have some hints about what car(s), etc to use for the dirt tracks? In GT3, I completed the off-road stuff pretty easy but for some reason, having a hard time in GT4.

All off road races were very easy for me. For snow I used Lancia Delta (for all easy, medium, and hard). For dirt I used Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (easy), Ford Escort (medium) and Ford Focus (hard). REMEMBER not to use breakes. When you get to the corner, turn and press circle button (o). Car will slide and rear end will hit the wall, but you won't get 5 sec penalty. For snow races REMEMBER not to go on dirt. There are some races where part of snow races is dirt. Just stay on the side(s) that is covered with the snow. Snow tires are not good at all for dirt road. Also don't use breakes on snow.

Thanks
for the info. Guess that is what makes the game so interesting. The license part went pretty quick and was easier than I thought it would be. Besides the normal and hard on the road courses, I have about six races left in the specific model race parts (Ford, Opel, etc)
Red Star I can't believe you sold the 787B! You should be burned at the stake
! In my opinion it is one of the best handling cars in the game! The Cobra R absolutely rocks( fully modified
). I was sort of worried that the car would be just a Q/T mile time, but it proved me wrong! The car put up faster times at the pratice course, beating both the GT, GT40 race car and the Mustang GT! Just hit 51.01% Yipee -----My Supra RZ hit 250

What did you use for the GT World Cup in the Pro Series? I'm thinking of using the 787B or the Toyota Minolta race car.

I used Formula 1. First win (if you didn't do it already) Nurburgring 24 Hours Endurance Race. You'll get Formula 1 and from there everything should be easy. Its really good in handling, tire wear is really good, and its fast.
But the hardest race in the game is Formula GT World where you're racing 15 races against same vehicles - Formula 1. Since you can't modify Formula, all cars are equal. I won $3,000,000 and Sauber Mercedes C9 Race Car for wining that series.
Just curious since April was the last post in this thread. Has anyone got 100%. I am at 94% with 2 more dirt races to go and a bunch of the driving missions. Think I will get the 2 dirt but that may be it!
Finally got GT4 last weekend for 20 Bucks! (Got a friend that works at Gamestop :P )
I'm doing alright so far, but i'm gonna be really limited in playing it and coming to the boards like usual because Student Teaching starts on Wednesday!

I also have all the FORD GT race cars and the 69 GT40 race car. I have a ton of 05 mustangs too.
