Scratch that, you don't even need a gpu really, all sand ridge and up are CPU/gpu.

I have some change in mine, but this is over time mind you. And you be surprised what ppl are playing bf with, check over battlelog sometime. I built a quite capably pc for my gf last year for under $300, 8g ram, i3 2100 which is essentially a quad core, add in a descent gpu 1-150 and you can play comfortably and at much more than 30 fps.
Scratch that, you don't even need a gpu really, all sand ridge and up are CPU/gpu.

Lol I see, but saying the Xbox effectively plays bf3 is a stretch, 30 fps may be good enough for the masses but 30 mins at max @ 120 fps with 64 players would make it hard to go back to a 24 player slideshow in a closet. What I'm saying about the pc you can build tomorrow will still hold true even after next gen is out.

Agree with you here.
Not at home but what i for sure remember is. Sandy i5 @4.6ghz 12 gig ddr3 ram. Nvidia 550ti. Two 160gig sata 3 ssd's in raid with 1.5tb storage drive. 900watt cooler master ps.
