Ok first off, don't kill me for watching even just a minute of this movie. But today I happened to be flipping through the channels and came upon.... yes... 2 fast 2 furious. I kept flipping back to it trying to catch the part with the only two cars worthy of watching, the two muscle cars. But I saw a part that got me thinking, for anyone that has seen the movie, when whats his name pulls up in the skyline, the car lets out huge puffs of white smoke on each side of the front of the car. What in the HELL is that? It looks to serve absolutly no point much like everything else in the movie. But its really buggin me beacause I don't know what that is. Anybody?


By the way.... I laugh my *** off everytime I see any part of this movie. Makes me glad I own a Mustang.

 

Just a guess, maybe their nitrous purge? Havent really seen the movie but thats what I would think.

 

Seems like a lot of smoke to be a purge system. I mean theres a LOT of smoke. It looks like someone spraying a fire extingusher <spelling lol

Also, Skylines are RWD lol.

I think it was a nitrous purge. People do it on all sorts of cars, Mustangs and Muscle Cars included. I honestly think its a waste of good gigglegas

 

I really don't think this was a purge, it was just way to much smoke...

lol ok so my roomate actually has the movie so I went back and looked at it. It must be a purge unit but they wasting a lot of NOS. And it it must be set up to come out from both sides.

 

Nope, Skylines are AWD
There is someone on a Cougar forum I'm on who has CO2 in his nitrous bottles so he can mimmick a nitrous purge, at a fraction of the cost...
As far as I know, he doesnt actually have a nitrous system hooked upto the engine.

 

I think it's purge too. On NFS U2, (ya, I know ) they've got it coming out all over the place.

 

It is the nitrous purge but just exagerated for film.
