Daniel Craig tapped to play screen legend Steve McQueen!

Story here.

Course, it doesn't mean he WILL, only that McQueen's widow endorses him.

Then I guess the Cookie Monster deserves a cookie. Or are we on to Grover now? I never could keep them straight.

Well the minute I saw Layer Cake, I thought this guy was a dead ringer for a Bullitt remake. Good looking but a little 'rough', blue eyes, and humble-tough but doesn't win every fight. The character has pretty much the same demeanor, a normal smart guy, but not superman; and when he needs to focus you can see he knows what the hell he's doing. Just like McQueen in Bullitt. If you catch it again on cable they are almost the same exact type character. He also looks a lot like him, especially the eyes, which does a lot of the talking for McQueen in Bullitt as it does for 'X' in Layer Cake. His eyes in scenes such as waiting with the hitman to kill the Serbian drug lord and when he pulls his own hit would fit right in the rear view mirror of a Mustang.

And thats Animal for crying out loud...
