Computer glasses?
#21
Most computer eyestrain is caused by a combination of having to actively focus (work) to see at a certain distance for long periods of time, combined with drying of the eyes due to decreased blink rate while concentrating on the screen.
Computer glasses (Gunnars and others) work by either providing a light tint, which decreases screen glare and increases contrast, and/or providing a low power reading lens that decreases the amount your eyes have to work to focus on the screen. These glasses help if you don't otherwise need to wear prescription glasses. If you do need to wear prescription glasses there is a clip-on product (Cyber Clipons) available online that will turn your prescription glasses into computer glasses.
Frequent use of over the counter artificial tears helps with the dry eye problems.
