Anybody got any good ones from their region? They seem so be more prevalent in the South, but I'm sure everyone has them.

List them and explain the context in which it is used.

For example,

That girl is so ugly that when she was a kid they had to tie a pork chop around her neck to get the dog to play with her.

(Self explanatory)

If a person has poor aim at something one might say that "he couldn't hit a bear in the *** with a bass fiddle". Or "he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn".

Got any interesting or funny ones?

"Im as full as a tick on a dogs back"

"I was on it like a pack of wild dogs chasing a 3-legged cat".

"Im happier than a puppy with two peckers"

Just to name a few i've heard.

They are used up here too, but probably not as often. Here are a few that I hear...

"Dead as a door nail"

"It's like beating a dead horse"

My dad had one (when he wanted a beer) that was always my favorite.

"I'm as dry as a popcorn fart."

LOL, my dad goes through about a bazillion of them a day, but yours reminded me of one of my favs;

"She's so **** ugly, she could make a freight train take a dirt road"

another one that comes to mind is;

"That bastard was so mean, I'd rather jump in a phone booth with a bobcat swinging a fist full of razors"

One a friend of mine seems to use when he's pretty mad at a body;

"I'm gonna stomp his *** into a mudhole."

He's also fond of saying;

"I just can't win for losing!"

LOL, I hear some version of all of those. Like, "I'm gonna stomp a mudhole in his *** and walk it dry"

Or when describing something difficult (usually the threat to whip one's ***) "You'd have an easier time shoving a hot fire poker up a wildcat's *** than __________" (fill in the blank).

Or that dude was so ugly, or smelled so bad, etc. that he "could chase a buzzard off of a gut wagon".

You know. You sit down at a restaurant and they ask you what you want to drink and you say "coke".

They say what kind? Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, Sprite, Coca-cola.

Round here coke describes soft drinks in general.

Kind of like 'pop' or 'soda' elsewhere.
