I really don't want to but....there are more important things in the world than a car. I think back to when I was 16. That thought wasn't in my mind. The important things in life to me were my car (AMC Gremlin I paid for, my girl, and what was going to happen in 5 minutes.
All I can say is this....don't sweat the little things. Your going to wake up and be 30 before you know it. Worry about the things that matter. If you are lucky enough to have a mustang at 16 count your blessings. Learn from your mistakes so you don't make them again.
My personal opinion....your too young to have the car, but I'm not your parent. I think rewards a given and not earned more often than not (no, I don't know your situation).
In any case..good luck and BE CAREFUL.
