Automotive books my collection sofar.

Don't know if anyone has a collection of books but I thought I would share mine.

Just got this one for xmas from the wife. Inside story on the turnaround of Ford under Alan Mulally. Look like a good one.

some of my others..

I got most on amazon but there is a great used book store by me that I grabbed some of the older books from for cheap. reading on the industry during the 80's and 90's when they where going through it and then reading books on the industry in current times you can really see the constant mistakes and how they pretty much repeated many of them over and over.

The AMC book is one of the best out there. complete history of AMC right to the end, great read.

does anyone else have some books they liked to share, I'm always looking for some new ones. I'm looking for a good book on the history and fall of the british leyland got a few in mind.

Could you give us more info on that "Ford Tough" book?

I just ordered few more books from Amazon yesterday. I get mine mostly from Amazon, but there is a great local store here in Milwaukee called Half Priced Books. They sell great new and used books for much less than Amazon.

I might post a picture of my collection when I get home from work.

In addition to books (mostly about American cars and NASCAR), I also have a lot of classic Motor Trend magazines ...

Ford tough: "Bill Ford and the battle to rebuild america's automaker" is the story of Bill Ford jr. and his take over of Ford from Jac Nasser, also a great book. Tells of his worst day at Ford, the rouge explosion and Bills push for what he called the "year of the car".

I have a bunch of old automobile, road & track, motortrends, etc, etc all related to the fox mustangs. I also of huge collection of fox based stuff that would be alot of pics to take but some rare pace car and svo stuff, etc.

I think about 250+ books in my collection. Most of them are about classic American cars (and auto industry in general), NASCAR, bank robbers from the 1920s and 1930s (John Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde ...), World War II and to be honest - about famous criminals. I also have many books related to Serbia (cars, sports, politics, famous works ...).
I also have about 250+ classic and newer magazines and few thousands diecast models (mostly American cars from the 1950s and 1960s and most of them are Fords).

I can't take pictures of everything (well, I could, but it would take forever ), so here are my favorite books ...

My favorite NASCAR book. Great pictures and details from each season.

Cars of the Eastern Europe. Being from the Eastern Europe, I gotta have this.

Legendary Holman Moody history. This book is very rare and its been out of production for over 10 years. One might show up on eBay from time to time, in an fair condition, and they go for over $200.

cool books. We have alot in common. I have a huge diecast/nascar collection so much that some is still in boxes.

I also have a huge photo collection. I had pit passes for many years at a few tracks so I have tons of photos in the garage areas, practice/qualifying right on pit road ( later I'll grab a few pics ). great times.

Great collection.

I forgot to mention - I also have a large collection of 1:55 Disney Pixar Cars.

But this 1:24 Mercury Cyclone NASCAR (driven by David Pearson) has been on my wish list for a long time ... None of the local stores have it ...
