That's a fantastic idea! I don't do professional photography, but if I ever do, I'll have to remember that one.

Stopped off at my local camera store and picked up a Circular Polarizer filter and step up ring. I'm going to play with that this weekend.

Ben you have the absolute worst job in the world , sucks to be you. Very good shots of the young lady by the way.

Good idea. What kind did you get?

Some days it sucks. Tonight I have to cover the minor league baseball playoffs.

There was actually two last night. I couldn't get to sleep with all of the giggling in my bathroom and that is the part that actually sucks because we were up till past midnight and I had to be on the road again at 6:30.

You know, Ben, don't think you are going to get to much sympathy.

High School Football is in the air.

Yesterday I had to do a session with three pregnant ladies and their kids. Does that make you feel any better :-)

So I finally got some decent rolling shots. The cars weren't going very quick but it's a start.

So lately I've been wanting to get more out of my pictures. I was going to look in to filters but I don't want to spend much, I need some things for my Mustang. What do I need to focus on to get better pictures? I think a lot of it has to do with lighting and editing. I would love to get more like the one I took below.

my 7D kit arrived today. one of the cool things is the 7 port high speed card reader/writer. I've been using photobucket for years but have found their service is slowing down and getting cluttered with time consuming ads. So i might start just fast loading my pics to my mac instead of photobucket. I might get a personal cloud device too, dedicated to just my pics.

This kit seems like a good deal. The lenses are perhaps mediocre but them i'm not an expert photographer, nor do i know what kind of shots i will specialize in yet. It came with enough toys to play with for a range of exercises and allow one to experiment without worrying about an $800 lense.

It looks good. I usually use either my own website or flickr.

Always a fun time at the track and a great place to practice panning.

Darren - that is a very nice kit, and the 7d is a beautiful camera. I'd like to hear your impressions when you have a chance to play around with it. Christmas came early for ya.

Looks like you get to do a lot of Glam shots. I guess you get numb to photographing scantily clad women, after you've done it a few times? I think it would be hard to stay focused, no puns intended.
