Talking After 5 weeks on crutch's I finally drove the car!

On March 7th I slipped on some black ice and spiral fractured my left fibula and tibia. I had to have surgery to have screws and plates put in to support the bones. Today I wiped the car down while watching the Bristol race. After the race was over the wife and I took the car to the store. She drove it there and I drove it home . This is the first time the cars been out since my accident. I was worried that I might not have the muscle to control the clutch but everything went fine. I'm not ready to drive it in rush hour but at less I can drive it for a couple of miles.

I don't know how some of you guys store the car away all winter. I have missed driving my car. I figure if the rain cleans the salt off the streets and it's dry outside I am going to drive it.

That's awesome! I can't wait for spring to get here, so I can take mine out on the road. (lots of dusty salt) I've only been up and down my driveway a few times, but it felt good!

awsome. I was lucky enough to have an auto car when I broke my right leg. I ended up taking out the console and put a bucket on the passengers side for a leg rest so I could drive with my left foot.

Good to see your back behind the wheel. Throw those crutches away and stomp on it!
