After 5 weeks on crutch's I finally drove the car!
On March 7th I slipped on some black ice and spiral fractured my left fibula and tibia. I had to have surgery to have screws and plates put in to support the bones. Today I wiped the car down while watching the Bristol race. After the race was over the wife and I took the car to the store. She drove it there
and I drove it home
. This is the first time the cars been out since my accident. I was worried that I might not have the muscle to control the clutch but everything went fine. I'm not ready to drive it in rush hour but at less I can drive it for a couple of miles.
I don't know how some of you guys store the car away all winter. I have missed driving my car. I figure if the rain cleans the salt off the streets and it's dry outside I am going to drive it.

That's awesome! I can't wait for spring to get here, so I can take mine out on the road. (lots of dusty salt) I've only been up and down my driveway a few times, but it felt good!
awsome. I was lucky enough to have an auto car when I broke my right leg. I ended up taking out the console and put a bucket on the passengers side for a leg rest so I could drive with my left foot.

I feel for you bro! Glad your able to take it for a spin. My wife still won't let me get my car after my accident. Same as you, but broke hip and shoulder.) on Feb 12th. She won't consider anything until afteer dr. appt. on 25th march
