24 Rebooting After a Bad Day

I can see why.
I love the show..but way too predictable or just out-there on some of the 'twists'
Hopefully they can rekindle next year.

 

A reboot worked for James Bond. Maybe it's time for a 24 reboot. I still llike 24 but It's time for something new.

 

Congratulations! You just watched the most predictable episode in 6 seasons! The only surprise was Milo getting blasted between the eyes.

 

I am a huge 24 fan but you guys are right on it being far fetched and predictable. I often wonder how they are going to keep topping the previous season. Looks like they ran out of ideas with this season.

 

It seems like they ran out of ideas towards the end of season 5, then had some great ideas for the start of this season, but now they're back to the same stuff they've done time and time again. How many times has CTU been attacked now? I remember the centox gas attack, but wasn't there a bomb threat before too?

 

Exactly ! Also they killed off or replaced interesting characters with boring ones, except Nadia. She's never boring.

 

I have to agree. How may times can Jack save the world!

 

The formula was good for about three seasons, four tops.

The only way for the show to survive now is to do something completely different with it, like sending Jack off on some sort of James Bond mission overseas, where a terrorist threat against LA or the USA isn't always imminent.

If they don't break with forumula next season, I fear it will be their last. Though seven seasons is an excellent run by any standard.

 

Any surprises last night?

Unbelieveable: Nadia takes out an armed gunman w/ her bare hands.

Scary but Believeable: Bauer, Sr's statement about China surpassing the US in every capacity in the next decade.

What I don't get - Why is the Russian Pres after us? Russian Gredenko conspired w/ Fayed to detonate nukes on US soil and now Russian Pres wants his nuke components back??? And he's threating military action if he doesn't get it???

What's next? - I don't think they brought SOD Heller back for 3 minutes in one episode. I hope next week's finale isn't a let down. Remember - 8:00 edt.

 

To bad the season is going to end. It's finally getting a bit interesting.

 

Hey Mark, your key word there was "bit".

Next week they have two hours to bring back the ratings that are falling off the cliff. It seems now, as compared to previous seasons, they are looking for filler in there episodes, and stretching them as far fletched as they can. I've been very disappointed in these last two episodes, and hope next week will revitalize me as well as the series.

They dont want it back because of it being a nuke component, the circuit board contains the technology used in all of Russia's defense systems, which the chinese could crack and use to disable ALL of Russia's defense capabilities. Thats why they want it back so bad.

I just watched this weeks episode, theres definitely something pushing the Russian President in this though.

Also im almost to the point where i'd put money down that Josh is really Jack's son. Little one night fling action or something with Jack and Josh's mom.

 

I'm with you on the nuke thing, it just seems that the tables should be turned. It's pretty ballsy of the Russian Pres to threaten military action against the US when one of his former generals was involved w/ a nuclear detonation on US soil.

I'm also with you on the other issues too. Especially Josh/Jack. Maybe the surprise will be that he actually isn't Jack's son since we've all been saying that for several weeks now. Maybe the surprise will be that he's Doyle's son... he does kinda look like him .

I think they are building on Jack being so over protective of Josh.. they are sorta playing the Jack will do anything to protect family card, but they are building it so far up that I think the climax will be that it will be his son.

 

If they really wanted a surprise, we could find out that the "son" is not a son at all...but just a really ugly daughter.
