you have got to be kidding! Theres no way they will be able to sell that for it cost to retool and produce! Reminds me of the plymoth prowler, awesome yes but just not a big market for it.

I think the only way for Chrysler to make any profit off this bike would be to produce max. 25 of them (which means no assembly line required, plus the engines already exist) and put them up for auction. Surely there will be 25 millionaires willing to pay even more than the target price of $250K, just to own a bike like this. I know I would, if I were Jay Leno.

It's funny you called out Leno . . . he already owns one.

That is sofa king ridiculous. Well, I'm sure the resale value will go down as the bikes kill their owners one by one... unless they kill somebody famous, then the value will skyrocket.

Wasn't this thing offered in the Nieman-Marcus catalog before? If not, maybe they should, given the price. Instead of cooler concepts like the Firepower and ME, they build this?

Yes it was and they shipped it with the connections from the rear tires to the engine disconnected so it was cocidered a sculture and not a vehicle.
I think they had a Rides Episode on it.

Thumbs down Well, what do you expect. . .

. .from a company that gave a makeover to a really neat little sedan and turned it into a gas-gulping monstrosity? (Chrysler 300)

If by neat little sedan you are referring to the FWD, under-powered, POS that was the 300M, I'll take the Hemi-powered RWD sedan that's based on the previous generation Merc E-Class. The 300M got 26mpg on the highway. You can still get the same V6 in the current 300 but now it gets 27mpg. Or you can go the Hemi route with its MDS and still get 25mpg with 340hp driving the rear wheels.

If I'm thinking of the wrong car, my apologies.

I'll agree with everyone here, though, that a Viper engine on training wheels does not look like a fun time to me.

Are you kidding? The Viper motor on that bike would be AWESOME to ride. Unfortunately, most car companies are used to putting out boring sets of wheels.
