Worst car you have owned
Worst car you have owned
The worst car I ever owned was a 1969 Opel. Piece of junk that I bought new. Lasted for 6 months till an old Dodge tank t-boned me at an intersection (his fault). Was not sad to see the Opel come to an end. Replaced with a 1969 Chevelle Malibu hardtop (much better car)

Hard to tell.
When it comes to total number of problems, the 1992 Ford Escort was the worst. However, when I bought it, it was 7 years old with 100,000+ miles on it.
My 1997 Dodge Intrepid had few less problems, but it was 3 years old only when I bought it with only 30,000 miles.

68 Olds 442. Handled like a boat naturally, but that 400 was fun. Right up until it blew a head gasket in 6 mos. So I got a crash course in rebuilding an engine. In a carport. In the winter. Sucked.
Swore off American cars until my 83 F150. Which I still have 30 years later with 250k on it.

This thread can be answered 2 ways. Worst car or worst problems. Worst car for me was a 1980 Mazda GLC. Tan on tan 4 door. Wouldn't idle and had bad engine mounts. Had to press the gas clutch and brake at a stop. Good times.
Worst problems was a 2001 VW GTI. I had it for 14 months. It was in the shop 45 days. Brake lines failed once on the freeway. It went through 2 turbos and. Whole list if horrors. When it worked, I loved driving it.

'99 Chrysler Concorde
A brand new car when I bought it
What a horrible pile of ****
Everything was breaking on it inside the first year including all 4 window motors. Some one than once.
After 10 months I traded it on an Expedition

The '07 Parnelli Jones Saleen had the most problems, sucking down a Quart of oil every 300 or 400 miles and the rod knocks and the ECM failing combine that with the arguing with Saleen and Ford over the useless warranty made it by far the worst car experiance I have ever had

My 97 S-10 had few problems of the "falling apart" or "crap build quality" variety but man was that just a poor vehicle. Ugly, wheezy, NVH out the ears, badly designed interior, etc. Seriously, the people who designed GM interiors in the 90s should be shot into the sun.
All too easy:

Although the '86 SVO was a pretty decent second, it never irritated me near as much as that demonspawn car. Ugh. SO glad it was stolen.
