Top Gear is back
This Sunday.
Reviews: Renaultsport Clio 200 • Peugeot 208 GTi • Ford Fiesta ST • Toyota Auris
Challenge: Features and challenges: Jeremy and James are in New Zealand to conduct a race between an America's Cup yacht and a Toyota Auris. • Back at the test track, Richard compares three hot hatchbacks. • In order to welcome the next reasonably priced car, a slew of stars show up at the test track for a picnic.

I love that show too. I love that '59 Pontiac they did that night and the '38 Ford from last season's finale was even better.

I'm not a big fan of the shows where they pretty much flip cars in what seems like a week. You know they haven't dive a quality job. The only one I like is overhaulin because you see them go through the whole process and do it right.
I can't wait for Top Gear!

Overhaulin is little too ... perfect. No drama, everything's done on time, no arguments ... Where is fun in that? I like American Hot Rod, Fast N' Loud, Chasing Classic Cars ...

Great show.
I also like that new show What's in the Barn on Velocity.

Overhaulin actually repairs the cars. They put in new motors, transmissions, suspension, wheels, brakes, tires, etc. Most of the other week flip shows I've seen they wash it, maybe throw on some paint, and fix a couple minor things like putting on new brakes, and the cars show it and look like crap when they're done. If they're not going to do it right and put in the effort, I'd rather they leave the cars to someone that will.

Too bad Counting Cars does not show any work they do. A 30 minutes episode usually consists of 10 minutes buying time, 5 minutes acting like idiots, 5 minutes selling the car and the remaining 10 minutes in commercials. They don't show any restoration work they do.
