White with Blue Stripe
#2
If you've read any of my previous posts you know I'm not fond of white cars--until you put those beautiful blue stripes on!!
My interest in Mustangs was kindled by the old French movie "A Man and a Woman". In it, the male lead is a driver for Ford France and there's some great footage of him testing a GT40 early on a cloudy rainy morning. The car burbles and then makes wonderful sounds as he takes it around the track. And yes, it's white with blue stripes.
If you've never seen the movie, go rent it. It won its fair share of awards. Yes, it's a love story, but the GT40 and Mustand driving scenes are incredible, especially those of a Mustang in the Monte Carlo rally.

How was the quality of the stripes? I got to spend some time with a white GT with blue stripes and the stripes were very poorly done, they had several bubbles and the edge of one of the stripes was peeling. I would have thought that a $130k dollor car would have had painted stripes or at least better quality vinyl ones.
