What was your previous car?

Here's my 1990 3.8L Supercharged Cougar. I loved her. Gave her to my boyfriend when I decided to get the Mustang, rest is history and so is she. I only had about 67,000 miles on the engine when I got rid of her. Those are his plates on the car, btw. right after we got the title switched. Those plates were cursed with BAD LUCK, I swear. And now after going through a couple of cars, they are gone for good.
Ordered my Mustang June 14th...Then I had my 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo for a temporary winter vehicle, then sold it right after I got the call that my Mustang came in.

Had this.....until some yahoo in a Dodge RAM rear-ended it. Cops said at the time of impact he was doing 40 MPH.
I'm awaiting the arrival of my redfire GT to replace it.
Well, I tried to add a pic, but apparently I can't get the attachment to go through.

My previous car was a 2004 Mazda RX-8. I like the car, but definitely like the Mustang way better.

Greg...I had a winning blue RX8. I noticed yours was an automatic RX8. While a fun car in its own right, the automatics were down on power compared to the 6-speed versions (less than 200 HP, if memory serves).

Before the GT there was a V6 Mustang; a Lincoln LS, a Saturn wagon, a Focus, two Tauruses...would like to have my '86 black TransAM (with tinted windows, and my '68 Camaro (L6, AM radio, no air, no power - sticker price new about $1800)
I recently sold my '73 Mach 1....missed it until I got the '05. I had a '70 BOSS 302 that I sold back in 1985...I still miss that car...Man I loved that car....But on the bright side, I have an 05 and Im restoring a '67 so things could be worse!!
I don't have any pictures, but I just sold her today!!! A 2000 GT Performance Red w/ approx 67K miles. Young kid w/ his dad offered what I wanted and left me a deposit. They will be picking her up on Monday when the bank opens. Tons of mods done to her, daily driver, and stills runs like a champ. I just cleaned her up for him. I'll give her a final coat of wax from me tomorrow. Then she will belong to someone else. She will be greatly missed. My very 1st brand new car ever. I had a lot of good (fast) times w/ her at Moroso and on the streets. Won some and lost some races, but really a lot of FUN TO DRIVE!!! Current mustang "officially" sold on Monday and new mustang is being built on Tuesday. Going from the best red to the best green!!! Bye bye honey...
1996 camaro z28...darn i miss it...the power but almost 120,000 miles....the nicest car in my high school and probably the fastest...now i got the 05 v6...i guess it will be great for college...won't be that hard on gas...
My old car was a 2002 Mini Cooper. I never felt like it was worth the price and the service requirements ($1,000 Brake Job). The car was riddled with 1st year build problems. The engine (Not an S model) was suspect as well (under powered and software cursed).
The best thing about the cooper was the resale value. Owning the car 2 1/2 years, I only lost $500.00 in trading for my V-6. That's the best trade I've ever had (Negative equity-wise).

I've had too many cars over the years to count, but in recent years it has been a series of SUV 4x4s (I'd been living in some rough areas overseas). Last one to go was a Landrover -- what a dog! The next to happiest day of my automotive life when I got rid of it; the happiest was when I picked up the '05 GT.
I was going to trade-in the '99 Ranger, but he's been too good of a workhorse, too fun for four-wheelin' and he's an excellent all-around vehicle. He's just too utilitarian for us and we'd miss him! So we decided to bite the bullet and keep him as our every-day.
I currently own and drive (and will continue to own, just won't drive nearly as much
) a Red 1989 Chevy Cavalier Z24. My parents bought it brand new in 1989. Since then, the car has gone through them, my older brother, and then myself, all through high school and college. I couldn't bear to part with it. Besides, she'll get me through the snow and ice during the winter. I'll only haveto worry about my yellow '69 Mustang getting jealous.

1989 full-size GMC Jimmy with 8" lift and 35 inch mudders, 8 mpg. This was a daily driver (45 miles per day). It rode like a Gamma Goat. I had it for 3 years and there was always something wrong with it. Now I'm driving a bonestock Civic until I can get an '06 Mustang GT. At $279/mo, the payments AND gas are cheaper than just the gas for the Jimmy. I think of the Civic as a tool, more than an automobile.
I had a Nissan '95 240sx se, bought it used back in 1996 with 9000 miles on it. It was a loaded 5-spd and I got a great deal on her. She wasn't real fast (0-60 around 8 secs), but I had a lot of great times in it for sure. Anyway, on 8/31/05 I was a victim of a hit and run on my way in to work. The tail was clipped as I was going around a corner and I ended up going up on a high curb sideways. I had very little body damage, but the damage underneath it totalled it. I had 148000 on her and she still ran great. My original plan was to order a Mustang around the first of the year, but this sped up that process. I do miss the old car though because I had planned on keeping it around for the work drive and to give my dog rides. I was in rentals for 2 months before I got my Mustang. Heres a picture, but it's not my actual former car, it just looks exactly like it.
