I have been told that those "concepts" were made by some college kid. These aren't even actual GM concepts.

Here are some better images of the Camaro concept.

I am loving this one!

That one looks more like AMC AMX/Javelin. Maybe even Plymouth Barracuda.

Yes, but Chevy is rumored to have an '07 Camaro in the pipeline. I've seen sketches, the beloved Stang may have some competition once again. It does look like the late 60's / early 70's Camaros. Not as nice as Ford did with bringing back the Stang, but nowhere near the disaster GM created with the 'new' GTO.

The pictures of this red concept are from GM ... the pictures of the orange car were done by the college kid .....

Those were 2 different generations of Camaro. First pic is 1969 model, 2nd pic is 1970-1973 model.
But check this out:

AMC AMX:

Plymouth Barracuda:

From the top view, that car rocks. But the two side views remind me of a buick Regal back in the late 80's.

they did mess up the stangs in the early 80's
the 79-81 and 83-84 stangs were Fugly, but the rest rock, look at this pic of my dads 86 for example

AMC AMX:

Plymouth Barracuda:

The front end is big time Camaro... the Grill, the foglights on the bumber, the shape. Neither the 'Cuda or the AMX have that look.
And the guy planned to put the 2nd generation-like rear on it, just like so many past generations of mustangs can be found in the new 05 mustang

Would you mind providing some info (link?) to back that claim up? I've always heard or read that all of those "concepts" were unofficial. To my knowledge GM has never released any concept drawings for a future Camaro.

All I've got to say is if GM doesn't seriously consider a design like this the are missing out on something that could bring in some serious revenue. I would buy one in a Heartbeat!

1000 times better that that GTO design.

Front is Camaro, but rear is more AMX than Camaro.
