Most of people on this forum like 2005 Mustang. BUT ... What if Ford never introduced 2005 Mustang and instead Chevrolet introduced 2005 Camaro that looks exactly how 2005 Mustang looks like?
Would you still like it? Would you say new Camaro rocks or would you laught at it?

id laugh and say.....hey i really like 04 camaro.....ohh wait they didnt make it soo they have to try to compete with the mustang. hey chevy stick to ruining cars like the monte calro and make it front wheel drive OHHHH U DID THAT TOO!!
The '05 Mustang looks like a Mustang. Even people who don't know that there's a new Mustang out will know that this car is a Mustang the first time they see it. So to answer your question, yes, I'd laugh if it was a Camaro. I'd laugh because I'd say that Chevy is trying to rip off the Ford Mustang.
It's kind of like what Dodge is doing to the Charger. The Charger would probably be a pretty cool car if they named it something rather than after the legend that it looks nothing like.
Besides, the Camaro would look pretty funny with the running pony in the grill.

Yes, but Chevy is rumored to have an '07 Camaro in the pipeline. I've seen sketches, the beloved Stang may have some competition once again. It does look like the late 60's / early 70's Camaros. Not as nice as Ford did with bringing back the Stang, but nowhere near the disaster GM created with the 'new' GTO.

If the camaro had the late 60's look to it. I'd consider buying it. On wash day, my driveway would kick $%!. Having a retro stang and camaro side by side would rock.....

Since the topic is more Camaro now than anything, I am going to move this thread.
The reason Canadian taxpayers would be ticked-off about the Camaro being built again is because they gave a huge loan of some sorts to GM to keep the St. Therese plant open for 25 years or something. The rule was that the car would be built there exclusively. As you all know, the Camaro is gone, and the plant was torn down.
GM might try and get around it by doing a couple of things, first they can revive the Chevelle name as it was the A-body twin of the GTO back in the 60's. They could also enusre that production is in Oshawa, Ontario, maybe that would be enough to keep the government/unions happy.
