so the question is, Is the whole car actually chromed or just polished?

Looks like polished aluminum to me. Not quite shiny enough for chrome. and dayum does it look good!

I think it looks waaay better than the new Chrysler concept. The interior needs a little work, though. The vent thing in the center looks out of place a little.

The exterior is stunning though.

Have to say the interior is too weird and futuristic -- especially for a "retro"-themed car. But there's no arguing with the exterior.

Awesome!

Using parts from the GT will reduce costs.

That car HAS to be built.

The SSV (Saleen Special Vehicles) assembly facility will need something to built when Ford stops the GT production, so this concept looks like a good replacement.

There was a good reason they had the two tone rear. It's called the 64 Shelby Daytona.

Yes, that is polished aluminum. It looks absolutely stunning The thing I love most about this car is the doors !!! They gave it the SLR/Enzo door treatment, and it makes the car look menacing at standstill when they are up. Sort of like a pair of wings. I cannot wait to hear the press conference to confirm that Ford is building this. The Shelby GR-1 IS A MUST BUILD!!!!

If the car had more of a production interior, I'd be more confident they were planning on building the car. However, seeing how that car has a whacky concept interior, I'm not so confident.

Secondly, from the looks of the build and the prototype specs, if they do build it, I don't see it being priced along the lines of the viper, but well over 100K. I sure hope I'm wrong...

i know the daytona coupe had the same treatment and trust me if it was up to me it wouldnt have it either but still i could live with or without that tail panel.
