I really want to like the Genesis. It's just that the interior looks like something like if Darth Vader and a 370Z had frumpy love child, that would be it.

Last time I checked, the 370Z doesn't come equipped with the Mercury Mistress option so that couldn't really happen...sooooo...

I like the idea of the Genesis coupe more than the actual car. After looking at the price of your fully loaded Genesis coupe, you would just start thinking, why am I not at the Nissan dealership right now? Either way it's a pretty slick little car, just not anything I would put money on. I tried hard to want one just because of budget issues, but still couldn't justify another 4 banger. So I am waiting for a pony car, it's what I have wanted. That's all. No C5'ing the Genesis here.

this is gonna be a pretty cool car. i'm willing to bet that alot of people who want a car like this and dont already have the bias towards the mustang that we do. for them they are going to see two very similar cars. as for styling, its all veryy subjective. i dont think it looks as good as the stang but i dont think it looks bad either.

i do think though, that id take this over a 2010 GT.

...and we still have more torque, which is what wins races

Mustang GT 412HP @ 6500 rpm / 390 pound-feet of torque @ 4250 rpm

Genesis 429 hp @ 6500 rpm / 376 pound-feet of torque @ 5000 rpm

who knew, that one day, we would have to "defend" our mustangs against a hyundai, by comparing torque specs? i think without a doubt the mustang is the better car, but the fact that this comparison is even being made = a great win for hyundai.

they've come a long way.

People said the same thing about Japanese cars back in the 60s and 70s ...

And they said that until recently for American cars. Most still do.
