Looks much better in my opinion . I like the seperate exhaust tips as opposed to the dual tips on one side!

Seems just like a Scion tC to me in many regards to its design. Minus the hood scoops.

There is a modded GTO in Motor Trend this month with a similar hood.

I'll admit it does look better with the hood scoops, but the body still needs some curves or edges to it.....anything, just something to rid it of the jellybean look.

I don't see many similarities between it and the Scion other than they're both two door coupe/sedans, they both have round reverse lights, and they're both modern car shapes with smooth lines.

If you look hard enough at most cars paired together... you'll find all sorts of similarities. I mean... after all the models designed through the years, the designers are running out of ways to make a car look considerably different from another. Hence going back to the retro look.

There lies the problem. The scoops and exhaust look good, but the body is still, as Rob said, a plain old Jelly Bean.

i wasnt suggesting that one brand copied the other or anything of the sort. As decipher said, its a common design that everyone seems to be adopting. my parents new accord even resembles those two to some degree. i was just commenting on how monotonous and predictable design seems to be becoming.

GM just should bring the Monaro here...instead of calling it the GTO, and maybe add an GTO option to it like they did with the Tempest

The VZ is cool though, for a GM...of course, everything Aussie is kinda cool [chugs some Fosters]
