Yikes. I suppose you could just put a piece of duct tape over it. Not sure if that's legal, though.

I guess you could but a piece of paper there to conceal it, and remove it if an officer asks.

I see lots of contractors in work pickups with loads of papers on the dash all the time. My neighbor has about 3 months worth of receipts on his.

You could keep a parking stub from a ball game up there. Then play stupid; "Oh, I forgot to remove that from the game the other day."

Covering it probably isn't a bad idea depending on where you live.
you want goofy: my neighbor is taking a small cruise from Portland, ME.
He's parking his car at the dock - in a fenced, lighted, area. The cruise folks told him that they wanted him to leave his keys with them (1 week). He told them to shove it.
