Vehicle Replacement Value

I have not talked to the insurance company yet, but wanted to know what ideas / experience everyony else has.

I love this car and if anything happened to it, I would want to replace it, not cash out.

I have a blk 95 Cobra coupe, cloth seats, no anti-theft.156K miles runs great, interior great, all stock, 2 minor dings, paint looks good for 11 yr old, but not great. I paid 7K for it, but I don't feel I could replace it for that money and don't think insurance would pay what it cost to replace.

Do I have any options?

There's "agreed value" insurance. It's designed for classic or specialty vehicles where regular auto insurance won't provide the right coverage. I'm not an expert on it but from what I understand, you and the underwriters agree on the replacement value on the car. You'll need to talk to one of the carriers to get all the specifics. Google "agreed value insurance" and you'll find plenty of info to get you started.
